  • Overview

    As a Product Specialist within our Underwriting Quality team, you examine system output,  underwriting files, processes and workflows with the intent of identifying opportunities for improvement, training needs, system defects and/or missed requirements.  You contribute by developing expertise in ProSight products, filings and processes and ensuring that ProSight systems compliantly support and accurately deliver and maintain ProSight products. 


    • Understand the full inventory of ProSight products and filings. Be able to clearly articulate specifications for all products, all lines of business, ISO, WC or Proprietary, admitted and non-admitted for all states.
    • Support PSI’s unique Niche structure, creating requirements for new and evolving niches and ensuring system support of business transitions
    • With increased understanding of ProSight products and filings, audit PSI systems, processes and workflows for compliance with forms, rates, rules and procedures.
    • Develop deep expertise within Premiere, ProSight’s policy administration system
    • Provide technical expertise, specifications and guidance to IT on defect resolutions as well as new product implementations.
    • Visually review and compare actual output to expected and clearly document findings
    • Work closely with Product Development, State Filings and Actuarial to ensure product definitions, rating values, algorithms, forms and attachment rules are delivered accurately and as planned
    • Use Underwriting Guidelines as a baseline, identifying gaps and/or deviations.
    • Handle high volume of diverse activities in a fast changing, dynamic environment
    • Thoroughly document and report issues to the Operations Resolution Center, seeing items through to completion
    • Work closely with the Home Office Underwriting Audit team to collaborate on common findings


    Skills and Technical Competencies

    • Strong analysis skills with aptitude for identifying root causes
    • Proven track record of detail orientation, thoroughness, speed, and accuracy




    • 7+ years of experience in P&C Underwriting, Operations, and/or Customer Service
    • Experience with the following ProSight applications a plus: Premiere (Duck Creek), Corporate Record, Submission, ImageRight, or Claims Assure
