    The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) will be part of a dynamic, growing organization and will be responsible for directly impacting our bottom line. As the custodian of our company’s investment portfolio, the CIO will influence the operations of the entire firm by managing its aggregate market exposure, deploying its capital, and designing its asset allocation framework. Well organized and analytical, the CIO is also adept at interfacing with senior leadership, our Board of Directors and Investors. The CIO will build relationships with traditional and alternative investment firms and guide the management of the portfolio with the objective of achieving superior investment returns at acceptable levels of risk.

    Responsibilities

    • Establish effective and well-organized investment processes.
    • Write and present clear, well-informed investment recommendations based on thorough research and analysis.
    • Organize regular investment reports and reviews, including quantitative and qualitative portfolio studies.
    • Attend annual meetings, review quarterly financial statements and remain up-to-date with any important valuation or policy changes.
    • Research new asset classes, strategies and investments.
    • Perform regular administration duties of all investment files.
    • Articulate the portfolio investment strategies to various constituencies, including the CFO, executive staff, Board of Directors and investors.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15+ years’ experience within the finance industry.
    • MBA or the equivalent advanced degree and a CFA designation are strongly preferred.
    • 5+ years identifying and sourcing investment opportunities.
    • Knowledge of standard finance concepts including present value analysis, financial modeling, capital markets instruments and securities.
    • Sophisticated approach toward maximizing economic opportunities through up and down markets while complying with regulatory and investment policy requirements.
    • Entrepreneurial drive and executive presence; trustworthy and discreet with the highest integrity, both personally and professionally.
