    This role is responsible for delivery of all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, & forecasting. The role with also provide support & analysis on key external relationships with investors, rating agencies, and banks.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead all aspects of financial planning process (budgeting, forecasting, and other strategic analysis) which includes clear communication of timelines and guidance to business partners.
    • Create and maintain the financial planning and forecasting model for all revenue and expense drivers as well as company key performance indicators.
    • Take charge of the P&L to drive understanding, transparency and improvement in reporting and projections.
    • Analyze, forecast, and track headcount activity, capital expenditures, and operating expenditures.
    • Prepare monthly G&A expense reports which include detailed analytics and dashboards providing ongoing results analysis vs. current and prior years as well as future outlooks.  
    • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.
    • Prepare risk-based capital models for AM Best BCAR, RBC, and NAIC to support capital projections.
    • Prepare monthly and/or quarterly presentations to the Board of Directors and Senior Management Team.
    • Ensures compliance with quarterly and annual regulatory filings; ex: Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A).
    • Ensure financial covenant compliance reporting as required on debt terms.
    • Ensure financial integrity of results through the understanding of financial processes and controls; recommending areas for improvement and implementing process standardization.
    • Provide support on key external relationships, e.g. investors, rating agencies and banks.
    • Conduct ad-hoc planning and analysis to support the department and senior management.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA highly preferred
    • 10+ years’ experience in an FP&A role
    • P&C insurance experience required
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power Point skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
    • Strong interpersonal skills
