    The Treasury Director Role is a key position in the Finance Department responsible for executing proper oversight and control over cash receipts and disbursements of the company. The Treasury Director will also have accountability for expense bookkeeping, and will work closely with functional and business leaders in developing monthly/quarterly processes to support the G&A expense accounting process.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee all cash management activities, including all daily banking activity (balance reporting, cash concentration, funds transfers and placing investments/loans).
    • Manage all Company cash forecasting goals and initiatives. Drive process improvement and ensure compliance.
    • Introducing a system of operational processes and controls to govern treasury activities including cash application process, timely payment of liabilities, managing reinsurance operations, and monitoring G&A expenses.
    • Maintain and help foster strong banking relationships, oversee bank account management.
    • Manage accounts payable functions, ensuring completeness, accuracy, timeliness and compliance of.
    • Support annual external auditor and periodic state examination requirements.
    • Work closely with finance peers on recurring deliverables, projects, and controls.
    • Manage and participate on various projects as assigned by Corporate Controller and CFO.
    • Preparation and monitoring of the monthly financial close tasks within control and risk of dependencies.
    • Maintenance of internal controls over cash receipt and disbursement.
    • Responsible for supervision of four direct reports and a team of 10-15.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree requir MBA preferred
    • Broad finance skills with 15+ years of progressively responsible treasury experience required.
    • Experience in P&C Insurance is required
    • Strong accounting acumen
    • Comfortable with debt, including credit agreements, and indentures
    • Excellent time and project management skills, ability to plan, organize and set priorities
    • Proactive, results focused, high achiever, delivers on commitments
    • Analytical thinker with ability to provide succinct and timely recommendations
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills with attention to details
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Bloomberg and other analytical tools
    • Creative problem solver, able to think “outside the box” and bring solutions
    • Team player with the ability to build and leverage internal and external alliances
