    Responsibilities

    • Assist with timely completion of the quarterly and annual regulatory filings. Ensure that all deliverables comply with accounting pronouncements and regulatory guidance.
    • Preparation of consolidated financial statements and forms, as required including year-end consolidated financial statements and corresponding footnote disclosures.
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements on management reporting basis.
    • Compile and input monthly and/or quarterly journal entries for GAAP accounting.
    • Collaborate with FP&A on management results on a monthly basis
    • Prepare quarterly account reconciliations and provide analysis for assigned accounts.
    • Assist with timely completion of the quarterly and annual regulatory filings. Ensure that all deliverables comply with accounting pronouncements and regulatory guidance.
    • Participate in the development and implementation of accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes.
    • Assist with quarterly SOX/MAR requirements and adhere to internal controls over financial reporting.
    • Prepare ad-hoc requests and special projects.

    Qualifications

    • BA/ BS degree with a Major in Accounting. CPA preferred.
    • 4+ years of relevant accounting experience or Big 4 experience. Insurance industry/financial services experience a plus.
    • Experience in a financial reporting role with a publicly traded company a plus
    • Professional communication skills; must be able to effectively communicate with various levels of management.
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft excel and word.
    • Ability to multi-task and flexibility to work effectively in a team oriented and fast paced environment.
    • Attention to detail and sense of urgency
